Normandy American Cemetery D-Day 81 Visitor Notice

Please be advised of the following Normandy American Cemetery access changes, in observance of the D-Day 81 commemoration ceremony.

Registration to attend the D-Day Ceremony has closed. Access to the D-Day 81 ceremony on June 6, 2025, will be restricted to individuals with an official invitation. Seating is not available for visitors without an official invitation, but some standing room will be available for these guests in designated areas.

Please take note of the following information regarding hours, travel, and parking:

  • The Normandy Visitor Center will be closed on Friday, June 6, until 2:00 p.m.
  • The cemetery parking lot will be closed until 11 a.m. Overflow parking, which entails additional walking, will be available until filled.
    • Access will be granted to official invitees and ceremony support personnel only prior to 11 a.m.
  • Camping cars (RVs) are not permitted to park on the access road at any time.
  • Visitors on June 6 are advised that there may be extraordinary traffic delays and parking challenges. Visitors with flexibility in their schedules are advised to visit on alternate days.

Cemetery staff and signage will be in place to assist and direct all visitors.
